FARMERS’ MARKET!

fm-blog-post-20

It was a long cold winter, but that’s all behind us now that it’s farmers’ market season. It was sunny and warm, the birds were chirping, neighbors were waving and friends were abundant. Good food, live music, art and friendly faces were inside, but you’ll have to wait for those pics this a little later this week. For now you can just imagine the loveliness! Come on, find a farmers’ market near you and join in the fun. It’s a little taste of heaven.

Yay for you! It looks like your FM is even legit, permanent signs and all. We have one year roung but it all comes in from California. Nothing more local than that except for a really subpar u-pick that is always overpicked or flavorless. :/

Oh no! That sounds so sad :-(
We do have the best farmers’ market. The best one I’ve ever seen. There is a permanent structure on the lake that was built by volunteers. We literally have no yard, so fm makes me feel better about not growing my own food. There are so many people who love to grow it for us!

I have some fun pics of the inside for later this week.

I completely agree–it’s the best market ever. Unfortunately, I live across the country from it! (My local market is quite lovely, so I can’t *complain* exactly. But man, I love the Ithaca market with all my heart. And you can walk there? Little bit jealous.)

So cool! Our farmer’s market doesn’t start till around Summer Solstice. But our CSA starts in early June. I’m getting hungry just thinking about it!

I know, we are so lucky Z. It actually started three weeks ago, but it certainly was cold and many of the stalls empty. I was so thankful to have warmer weather this past weekend.

I can’t wait for CSA season too!
