I am vicariously living through all my gardening friends, because as it turns out having a 5 y/o, 2 y/o and a baby arriving in early summer is *not* the year to grow anything. I look out at my containers and window boxes on my porch and feel a little remiss.

We’ve had a veggie garden for the past couple of years. I especially love that my kids will eat veggies out of the garden that they would otherwise shun. There’s something about growing food yourself that just makes it way more appealing.

On the other hand, I have developed an intense dislike of slugs. Bah, slugs!

Thank you so much Hillary for posting my blog!

My exciting update is that we’re seeing the fruits of our labor! We have 5 potato plants growing like crazy and we’ve seen at least 4 onions come through the soil too! My children are so excited and run outside everyday to see what they can find! I am loving this experience so much and I’m grateful I pushed myself to do the work and get our garden planted this year!!!
