Photo Friday :: A Papa is a Wonderful Thing

by flowers on August 14, 2009

Papa

We must abandon the notion that we become grandparents only when our children give birth. In the same way that all adults are ultimately responsible for all the earth’s children, grandparents come into being when we realize we are responsible for all the grandchildren on earth.

A papa IS a wonderful thing.

I just wrote about the way we keep connected (and the way I stay so grateful) for the wonderful papa in our house. Having a partner to share in the art of raising a family is truly a gift, indeed.

Hi Kate :-)

I couldn’t agree more. I am truly speechless with the gratitude I feel for having such an interactive and amazing partner on this adventure.

(for the record–the papa in this picture is Stone’s father who was in town visiting and whom my children just adore)

Gotta love all kinds of Papas ;-)
