We travelled the scenic back roads from Camp to spend the day in North Conway. A favorite destination of ours, the quintessential New England town kept us charmed all afternoon. Despite the constant clouds and rain holding court over most of New England, we were able to frolic and play in sunny weather! Thank you great Mama for shining a little light on our family adventure.

We kept busy perusing local shops, admiring art and nature, and chilling at the playground with a majestic mountain backdrop.

We ate dinner at one of our most favorite restaurants — Flatbreads. They have a place back near our hometown and they were one of the first signs of life in our community back 10 years ago. The food and atmosphere was so great that people packed in and were greeted with the philosophy that “Food Is Love” and “Food with Integrity”. The menu informs you of the local and quality ingredients they use as well as highlighting why it’s so important to make conscious food choices. Since becoming such a hit they’ve been able to open shops in a few other locations which is how we came to be eating our beloved organic, free-range sausage pizza with fresh herbs in downtown North Conway. We went home with a happy bellies and a clear conscience.

It was a day — a pretty wonderful one.

Ahhh. You just brought me back to childhood. I grew up in Plymouth, MA and my Godparents brought me skiing every year in NH. We stayed in North Conway! It still looks beautiful. I really miss New England. But Northern CA isn’t so bad either.

Glad you had a great visit. I wish we had a Flatbreads here – sounds fabulous!
