There are a few exciting things going on around the web that you might be interested in (or already know about!).
Simple Mom is hosting a book club equipped with a forum just for the occasion. The first book we’re reading is The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Families and I’m psyched to have the push to finally read it. It’s right on board with our family energy right now and I’m really enjoying it so far. It’s no too late to join and there are lots of great books lined up for the future.
Jenny over at Nourishing Kitchen is leading a 28 Day Real Food Challenge. I’m participating with almost 900 other families and even though we’re already a week in you can still join and even start from the beginning and receive the newsletter from day one. We’re climbing out of our mid-winter food rut and this is a great inspiration. It’s also a project Stone and I are doing together which is really exciting. Stone is a fantastic snack and small meal fixer, but the meal planning and food prep usually lands in my lap and his enthusiastic response to my ask for help felt so good we decided to declare it a project we could grow together with–he’s so good!
You’ve probably already heard, but Jamie at Steady Mom launched her book Steady Days. I’m way behind on announcing this, but I wanted to add my accolades. I’ve been busy absorbing the easy to read and gentle guidance that is as suitable for an experienced mama as it is for a new one.
My friend Kate over at The Blankie Chronicles just started a new project called Rise Up: Stories from the Mother Net. When I first read about it I got chills because I feel the same way Kate does: the internet has given mothers a collective voice and empowered us in so many ways. I am so excited to follow along this project and hear from superstar mothers all over the web.
Web happenings and linky love galore is a great way to make it through this short, but chilled month. Anything I’ve missed? Tell me what’s up in your neck of the world wide web.
