Homeschooling and Working from Home: Yes You Can!

Working from home and homeschooling; it’s quite unconventional in this day and age, but just a few generations ago it was the norm. Since most of us live without the support of extended family it can be a lot harder to make it all work.

Can you do both? We think so, but it takes some strategy and mindfulness to keep everything afloat.

I’m over at Simple Homeschool today talking about just this: Working at Home and Homeschooling: Seven Life Lessons of a WAHM.

Loved your Simple Homeschool post today Hillary — I plan to reference it off when I start to feel overwhelmed.

My girl isn’t quite old enough for formal schooling to begin and my partner and I have decided that we absolutely want to homeschool until at least age 10. I know I would lose my mind if I didn’t have something…’else’ in my life besides my kid, and I need something to make me feel productive. I think these tips will be useful for when I start thinking I cant do it all.

I can relate. I’ve always needed to have some personal projects/work of my own to feel fully satisfied, bit it can be a challenge to manage it all!

By the by–in my book I’d say your homeschooling already ;-) There’s no magic “starting” age.
