After an exciting and fulfilling trip to Boston to celebrate the boys’ birthdays with family we are back home again.
The boys spent the entire day in pajamas yesterday. We turned our heat on for the first time and everyone was happy to just hang out at home.
After a full day at home we were ready to venture out. Stone continued a client’s project he’s working on and we headed to Miranda’s house to play and visit (and eat yummy homemade soup) with our fabulous unschooling friends.
Sol was taken with their pet gerbils. He picked them up, played with them, kissed them and got angry with me when I suggested he give them a rest. Miranda has offered to let us borrow them, but I’m not sure I’m ready for that yet.
Can I nurse my two-year old, support a newborn’s head and supervise Sol holding the baby. You bet I can! (photo courtesy of Miranda)
Koala kept saying, “Bock, bock, bock” and finally I realized he was doing his best to make chicken noises. He loved their little house.
E was happy to catch one for them and we were able to say hello up close.
It was a gorgeous fall day and I am happy to return home to a community that is so very wise and kind.
(P.S. Check out my guest post over at BreastfeedingMomsUnite. I reviewed my favorite Bravado Nursing Tank. Melodie has a great community over there and I always appreciate the support and encouragement of a larger breastfeeding community.)

Great pictures! I love the chicken and E! It was great to see you today. Oh, and I am not sure the gerbils are ready for that yet either! ;-)
Oh I know! I felt my first resistance b/c and then tried to see if I could be open to it, but after watching I just felt like we would be that family where the dreaded “accident” happens. Maybe when they are a little older. Maybe ;-)
I love the pictures! That one with Sol holding the baby– and touching that sweet little knee…oh my goodness! Having a wonderful community to come home to is one of the best treasures of life. glad you are back and had a great trip:)
