Holiday Give-Away .:. Love & Tea Company

Welcome back to the Infinite Learner’s Holiday Small Ethical Business Give-Away Party! I am honored and excited to introduce you to Love & Tea Company.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

I want to start off with sharing our family experience of drinking tea. Some people think that having only boys means that you only play with trucks and tools. This is only partly true. Yes, they do love that stuff (and for the record so don’t girls!), but I was happy to have Solshine react so positively to the simple tea set I brought back from a yard sale. He loves it! Now that Koala is older he joins in the fun.

Tea Party 3

It’s a ritual of warming the water, choosing our tea, waiting while it seeps and cools and finally, Sol serves us all. There are lots of cheers and spilled cups and funny conversations. It melts me every time and provides us with a very soothing and healing group experience. In other words, tea parties rock!

Enter, my friend Jen Lashua, owner and master tea blender of Love & Tea Company. Jen is a friend I met years ago online on the Mothering community forums. I started ordering tea from her back then and was astonished at the quality of her teas. The looseleaf tea is in itself an art form AND Jen does all her own artwork for her packaging. It’s an ultimate feel good experience when you open your package lovingly sent from their zen-like studio in Vermont.

Fairy Tea Celebration

I like to support Jen for a few reasons:

*Quality: Jen is a certified herbalist and uses the highest quality of herbs. They use herbs that they grow themselves or are from other small family farms and each batch of tea is hand blended. Jen is passionate about sustainability and natural health.

*Passion: She loves what she does! Check out their website. Her passion and commitment to wellness shows through her product and when you seep and drink the tea you feel love. I kid you not. Just having her tea sitting on the counter reminds me to chill out and feel good.

*Small Family Business: When you buy teas from Tea & Love you are directly supporting a family of five. Sure I can grab a box of tea at the supermarket, but it lacks so much of the connection I receive when I purchase it from someone I know; someone who is working at what they love to support their family. I want more of that in the world and it feels good to put my money where my mouth is!

Tea and Love

*Options: She has a tea for every occasion! Teas for women, teas for children, and teas for everyone and every occasion. I personally love Celebration Love and the children’s teas. I’m a big fan of the women’s wellness series, too.

*Great Gifts: A tin of tea from Love & Tea goes a long way when gift giving. I remember a mutual friend gifted me the New Mama Tea along with a tea ball after Koala was born and it was such a lovely and simple gift to receive. It filled me up in so many ways!

Love & Tea has graciously agreed to give one lucky reader a coupon to choose a tea of their choice from their site. To enter please go browse the site and let me know which tea you’d choose if you won. It’s that simple! I’m going to choose the winner randomly Wednesday at noon.

I encourage all of you to consider purchasing some tea from Jen for your family and for gifts this holiday season. You’ll be supporting a fantastic family and business and you might just spark a conversation with a friend that looks like this:

(Chatting with Solshine over Tea.)

You can also learn more about Jen, her family and her business over at Exhale, Return to Center. Erin, a mutual friend, did a great interview with her some time back.

Oooh, these teas are my favorite. I love that I have watched this company grow in leaps and bounds, all under the careful, watchful eye of a beautiful, loving family. I still have some of my original tins from years ago and just seeing them brings back lovely memories of the people I shared that tea with.

How wonderful!

I have looked at Jen’s site before but never ordered. Thank you for the recommendation. I love tea and so does my son. I think that I would choose Mellow Mama for those times that I need to mellow out!

Oh!!! I love Jen’s teas!!! I’d go for Fairy Tea Celebration this time. (and take the occasion to get more Chai of Evolution)

And now I’m going to boil water and make some Ginger Mountain Ginseng to warm me up a little – it’s cold here. :-)

Ooooo, I can attest, her tea is wonderful! I’ve tried many of them, and each one is amazing. They really are tea elevated to art. A perfect gift!
