So remember way back when I was doing holiday give-aways and I promised one more for the crafty sort, but then I sort of never mentioned it again?
Well, I’m here to follow up on promises, even if they are a few weeks late, with the trust that you all understand how life has that funny way of catching up with you.
So without further or do I’d like to introduce you to Amber Owens of Spazzy Yarn. I first met Amber on Twitter (@Spazzyyarn) and bought some handspun yarn from her and loved, loved, LOVED it! It came quickly and in nice packaging and I’ve enjoyed getting to know her as we put together this giveaway. Here is a little bio in her own words:
I started working with wool after I became addicted to yarn. I was
simply dying my own yarn to use and it wasn’t enough. I wanted to feel
more connected to my projects, I wanted to know where my yarn came
from, that the animals were treated fairly and loved. My first wheel
was a Babe, which is a PVC wheel. I came home with a pound of organic
Corriedale wool from a farm down the road and fell in love.
Nothing pleases me more than preparing a fleece and taking the trip
from stinky wool to yarn to a finished project. I’ve recently started
teaching my oldest daughter how to spin and she loves it. There’s
something so grounding about it for me. I feel connected to the women
in my family tree in a way I don’t believe I could have found any
I am a work at home mom of two little girls, Katie who is five and
Macey who is four. Spinning yarn is not only a pleasurable hobby for
me but has become an amazing way to teach my children about life. They
love helping to package the yarn, and have learned the value of a
dollar, supply and demand and why hard work is so valuable. I strive
to make a yarn that is loved, something that will make an item that
can be passed down from generation to generation.
It’s hard not to give three cheers to that!
I find her prices to be very fair, especially considering this is handspun yarn made in the US. The yarn I’ve worked with was of very good quality, a pleasure to knit with and gorgeous hues.
Amber has been extremely generous in donating some squishy booty for one lucky Infinite Learners reader.

35 yards of Super Bulky thick & thin. 100% BFL
