I finally picked up my knitting again. Last fall I started my first *real* project (in other words: big and more complicated than a hat or scarf). It took a lot of time and was coming along great until the end when everything fell apart. I really needed some help and have been feeling less than about the whole thing.
To get me back to a feel good place I dug through my stash and found a skein of really gorgeous (and heavy!) hand dyed wool gifted to me from my friend Gretel. I know it’s the end of the season, but Koala needed a new hat and I made it big enough for him to grow into next winter. (And besides I needed a project to remind me of why I love knitting.)
And let’s not forget there will be a wee one coming up the ranks appreciating fine hand knitted woolens–gush!
Check it out–handsome little fellow, right?

I love it! I think the really good thing about wool hats is that they stretch, so they can last for YEARS. My daughter is on year 3 of hers right now. :)
